After graduating in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Duff worked in various fields, including construction and real estate development. He obtained his Florida Insurance Agent license as well as a state of Florida General Contractors’ license. He is an Eagle Scout active in the South Florida community in several civic and social organizations.



Duff was trained by his father who started the Matson Surety agency in 1959. After succeeding his father in 1985 he expanded the agency and formed Matson Insurance & Bonding. In 1992 Duff formed a partnership with John Charlton and started Matson Charlton Surety Group.



Duff works with various attorneys as a consultant and has been an expert witness in cases including Federal Bankruptcy Court.
